Messages

SupplyMover now includes a Messages feature which provides chats within the system. Messages can be accessed by selecting the chat bubbles icon to the left of the Mover Panel at the top of the display. A chat dialog opens, and users can see existing chats and start new chats.

To start a new chat, select the chat bubbles icon and then the New Conversation button. A side panel opens with the following inputs:

• Group Name
• Message (required)
• Add Participants (multi-select dropdown with search):
  • Added participants will be listed below where you can designate their Role in a dropdown as an “Admin” or “Member”; participants marked as “Admins” can edit the Group Name and add other people to the chat, but participants marked as “Members” cannot
  • Remove participants from the chat group by selecting the trash can icon
  • Select the Save button to finish

Selecting an existing conversation will open the respective chat window where you can continue conversations.

Additional message composition options include:

• @ (Mention) – to call attention to a specific user in the system
• Format – displays options to make text bold, italicized, and underlined
• Attach File – to drag/drop or choose file to be attached

Additional message actions include:

• Edit Group Name (Admins only; displays dialog to rename group)
• Participants (people icon):
  • Lists existing chat group participants
  • "+Add Participants" (Admins only; dialog opens to select people and role)
  • "Leave Conversation"
• Close chat window
